Trump Says Tariff Revenue Will Fund $1,776 Bonuses for US Troops

 

US President Donald Trump announced that revenue generated from tariffs will be used to pay bonuses to US military personnel before Christmas. Speaking in a televised address from the White House, Trump said 1.45 million service members will each receive a $1,776 bonus, which he called a “warrior dividend,” marking the founding year of the United States. Trump said the funds came from higher-than-expected tariff revenues and praised the military, adding that the bonuses are already being distributed.
