US President Donald Trump hinted at potential progress in the Russia-Ukraine peace talks during his visit to Doha, saying, “I think there’s going to be some pretty good news coming out of there (Türkiye) today, maybe tomorrow, maybe even Friday.”

Trump, welcomed by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani with a ceremony featuring camels and Cybertrucks, emphasized the strong US-Qatar relationship. Al-Thani praised Trump as “a man of peace” and expressed hope for regional peace initiatives. The two leaders discussed investment, energy, military cooperation, and peace efforts, including the ongoing war in Ukraine.
