Turkey-Albania Friendship Hospital that was built in 68 days by Turkey as a gift to Albanian citizens began patient admission. It was opened on 21 April with a ceremony. Fier Friendship Hospital began accepting patients after opening. At the beginning 110 employees in total, 56 of whom are Turkish will service at hospital. When the hospital is fully put into service, the total number of employees will be more than 300.
Prof. Dr. Bülent Yüksel, the general surgeon serving at the hospital, stated that he has been here for 10 days. “We opened our hospital and started our operations. We have about 6 operating rooms in our hospital. We have plenty of intensive care units” Yüksel said.
