In Van, the eastern province of Turkey, 174 irregular migrants were caught in a truck with steam coming out of the ventilation shaft. “After the inspection of the box truck, steam was seen coming out of the ventilation shaft on the roof of the vehicle, 174 illegal immigrants of foreign nationality were identified and handed over to the relevant institutions. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and transferred to the judicial authorities to be processed,” the Van governor’s office stated in a statement. In addition, the efforts against illegal immigration continue with the support of the public in order to ensure peace and security in the region, the governor’s office added. A footage captured by camera revealed the moment.
