Teams from Turkey’s Presidency of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) organize humanitarian aid activities in Ukraine. AFAD, which has been delivering hot meals at the Ukrainian border gate for days, has now begun to distribute meals in Lviv.
Stating that they are currently distributing hot food to a thousand people, AFAD responsible Oğuz Gülenler said, “As the AFAD team, we are in front of the Lviv Veterinary Faculty and our hot food distribution continues here. We are currently carrying out humanitarian aid activities with our teams at the Siret Gate in Moldova and Romania. According to the possible need, we will start the distribution of hot meals on the Moldovan side. We started the activity yesterday and tomorrow we will have hot food distribution at the Lviv train station. Yesterday we distributed about 650-700 meals, and today we are planning to distribute a thousand. However, according to negligence and need, we will be able to distribute enough hot food up to 30,000 people.”
