Rain gush in the Çankaya district of Ankara, Turkey caused flash floods yesterday night. Workplaces, homes and cars were submerged as roads were overflowed with flood waters. People rushed to take shelter and save their belongings from flood waters.
In Japan, the Perseid meteor shower, visible from mid-July to late August, was captured on camera in Hokkaido and Aomori prefectures. Formed by dust and rock particles from comet Swift-Tuttle, the meteors burned up upon entering the atmosphere, creating a striking visual display.
