A Turkish Air Force SF-260D type training aircraft departed from the 12th Air Transport Main Base Command in Kayseri for a routine training mission on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024. The aircraft reportedly crashed near Hasanarpa district of Kocasinan district for reasons yet unknown.

Search and rescue efforts commenced immediately. With deep regret, the Kayseri Governorship has confirmed that the two pilots onboard the aircraft were killed in the crash.
