Azerbaijani and Turkish flags now flutter over the graves of Khojaly martyrs in Aghdam, Azerbaijan, as citizens return to their homeland after three decades of displacement following the Karabakh War. It was revealed that Armenian forces destroyed and desecrated graves while retreating during the 2020 conflict.
Journalists from Türkiye visited the graves of 613 people killed in the 1992 Khojaly massacre, praying and honoring their memory. Locals returning to the region expressed both grief and pride, highlighting the enduring solidarity between Türkiye and Azerbaijan as “one nation, two states.”
