‘First Lego League’ robotics competition were held at Baku Turkish Anatolian High School in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. A total of 20 teams, consisting of Turkish and Azerbaijani students, competed with their robotics designs to represent Azerbaijan in the ‘First Lego League Challenge’ to be held in Houston, USA.

“It is extremely important that they came with projects that can contribute to our lives, economy, society and social life,” said Turkish Ambassador to Baku, Cahit Bağcı, also mentioning that the teams embraced a nature-friendly approach when preparing their models.

Seven people linked to the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) were detained in anti-terror raids across Armenia. Authorities seized explosives, detonators, radios, and other materials in what they described as a foiled terrorist plot.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee stated that one suspect faces charges related to preparing a terrorist attack, and the investigation is ongoing. Local media say all detainees are members of the Dashnaktsutyun party.

The arrests follow the June 25 detention of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the opposition “Holy Struggle” movement, which the government accuses of planning terrorist acts and a power grab. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said security forces had stopped an attempt to destabilize the country.
