Coach Engin Firat, one of the most internationally successful and experienced coaches in Turkish football history, is on the verge of setting a remarkable new record. Following Ivory Coast’s victory over Nigeria in the AFCON 2024 final on February 11, securing the African Championship, Kenya’s National Team Coach, Engin Fırat, is poised to achieve a challenging milestone. Having previously faced National Teams such as France (the reigning World Champion), Italy (the reigning European Champion), and Qatar (the reigning Asian Champion), Coach Fırat is set to add another achievement to his list. In June, during the World Cup qualifying group match, Kenya, under his leadership, will host the current Africa Champion Ivory Coast, marking another continent’s champion faced by the coach.
