Rıza Akbalış, one of Türkiye’s four remaining mosque finial artists in Bursa, carries on a 120-year family legacy with unwavering dedication. Beginning his craft at just 14 years old in the workshop passed down through three generations, Akbalış repairs historic mosque finials and fulfills international orders, especially from Balkan countries. Despite being one of only finial artists in Türkiye, Akbalış laments the lack of successors for this esteemed profession.
