Cihat Ay, who lives in Mardin, Türkiye has been reflecting his art on glass instead of canvas since two years. Emphasizing that the drawings in this type of art are made backwards, Ay said that his inspiration was Leonardo da Vinci’s writings written backwards. Ay’s precise work on the transparent surface captivate people.
“The thing that distinguishes this art of drawing from others is working on a transparent surface and giving it depth. This is one of the most difficult painting arts in the world,” says Cihat Ay.
