During his official visit to Tokyo, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş met with the Japanese Disaster Relief team that assisted Türkiye after the devastating Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. He expressed gratitude for their swift response and dedication, stating, “Your selfless efforts have earned an unforgettable place in the hearts of the Turkish people.”
Hideaki Yamamoto, leader of the Japanese team, recalled how they quickly mobilized a 74-member team to the disaster zone. He emphasized the strong ties between Türkiye and Japan, noting their history of mutual support in times of crisis. Kurtulmuş presented the team with a plaque of appreciation in recognition of their service.
