Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a meeting on 11 March, in Doha to discuss the Syrian crisis and ways of cooperation with the aim of contributing to a lasting political solution. The Ministers, emphasized their commitment to preserving the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic in accordance with the UN Charter. “Today we launched a new trilateral consultation process. Our goal is to discuss how we can contribute to efforts towards a lasting political solution in Syria” Cavusoglu said in a joint press conference after the meeting.

Azerbaijan and Iran have begun the Araz-2025 joint military exercise in Khojavend, a region liberated from Armenian occupation. The opening ceremony featured tributes to national martyrs and leaders, with both countries’ anthems played.
According to Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry, the exercise aims to enhance bilateral military cooperation and build trust between the armed forces. Senior officials from both sides highlighted the strategic importance of the drill for regional defense collaboration.
