The Turkish soldier, serving with NATO’s Peace Force in Kosovo, has continued his tradition of providing aid to those in need during the holy month of Ramadan. This year marks the 24th year that he has distributed Ramadan food parcels by traveling from village to village. Accompanied by a doctor and nurse from the Presidency of the Kosovo Turkish Representation Delegation, they conducted health screenings for elderly individuals in the Shtime Municipality of eastern Kosovo.
During Ramadan, the Turkish military plans to distribute 1,500 Ramadan pide (traditional Turkish Ramadan bread) and Ramadan food parcels to 500 families in need throughout Kosovo. Turkish soldiers, stationed in Kosovo for nearly 24 years, also erect iftar tents annually during Ramadan.
