A Turkish Air Force C-130 cargo plane flying from Ganja, Azerbaijan, to Türkiye crashed near the municipality of Sighnaghi in Georgia’s Kakheti region, about 5 kilometers from the town center, the Georgian Interior Ministry announced. Georgian authorities launched an investigation under Article 275 of the Criminal Code, which covers air transport safety violations resulting in fatalities.
Türkiye’s Defense Ministry confirmed the crash, stating that search and rescue operations are underway in coordination with Georgian and Azerbaijani officials.
