At the 6th Turkish-German Energy Forum in Berlin, Türkiye’s Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar and Germany’s Economy and Climate Minister Robert Habeck discussed strengthening energy ties. The forum also featured events on energy startups and women in energy transformation to enhance collaboration between the two nations.
Minister Bayraktar highlighted Türkiye’s commitment to meeting energy demand with domestic and renewable sources while pursuing a carbon-neutral economy by 2053. He noted that Türkiye’s wind and solar capacity has reached 31,000 megawatts and aims to grow to 120,000 megawatts by 2035 under its renewable energy roadmap.
