During President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit to Malaysia, Türkiye and Malaysia signed 11 agreements in areas such as energy, defense, trade, and research. The agreements include cooperation in energy transformation, disaster management, and defense procurement.
Türkiye’s TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center and Malaysia’s Sultan Mizan Antarctic Research Foundation agreed on joint maritime and polar research. Other deals cover smart city solutions, consumer protection, and audiovisual media. Türkiye’s Desan Shipyard also signed a preliminary agreement with Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs for a multi-purpose mission ship.
