Türkiye Builds Advanced Warships for Pakistan with High Local Input

Türkiye is constructing four PN MILGEM warships for the Pakistani Naval Forces, utilizing 75% locally produced systems. Rear Admiral Recep Erdinç Yetkin, Commander of Istanbul Shipyard, highlighted the project as Türkiye’s largest defense industry export. Two ships are being built in Istanbul and two in Karachi, Pakistan.

The ships, developed under the Ministry of National Defense’s ASFAT, feature systems from leading Turkish defense companies like ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, and HAVELSAN. Locally designed systems include torpedo operations, sonar, laser warnings, and electronic support, all integrated with the ADVENT command and control system.

Each vessel is 108.2 meters long, can reach speeds of up to 26 knots, and accommodates 142 personnel. The ships are tailored to meet the specific needs of the Pakistani Navy, marking a significant milestone in Türkiye-Pakistan defense collaboration.
