Within the scope of Türkiye’s second space mission, the country’s second astronaut, Tuva Cihangir Atasever, performed a series of experiments during a 1 hour and 10 minute flight to an altitude of 90,000 kilometers with Virgin Galactic’s “VSS Unity” suborbital vehicle, which also carried 3 other astronauts and 2 pilots. The experiments aimed to examine physiological changes in the human body during a 3-minute free fall. The Turkish astronaut said that the experiments were successful in a press conference held afterwards.
