Forest fires in Syria’s Latakia province have destroyed 10,000 hectares of land. Syrian officials say the flames are spreading rapidly due to drought, strong winds, and leftover war munitions. Nearly 90 firefighting teams and over 150 vehicles are on-site. Türkiye, Jordan, and Lebanon have sent helicopters and support crews to assist, with Turkish teams entering on Saturday and Jordanian helicopters joining on Sunday.
