In Türkiye, within the framework of the ‘Project for Restoring Endangered Species to Their Old Habitats,’ three female red deer were brought from the red deer breeding station on the Uludağ University campus and released into the wild in Burdur province. The teams mentioned that they had released three male red deer into the wild a month ago, stating that they were in a race against time until they reached the release location for the animals.
“The operation began with the capture of three female red deer simultaneously. We administered multi-vitamins and medications to prevent them from experiencing any health issues during their journey from Bursa to Burdur. We continuously monitored their condition throughout the journey and safely released them into their natural habitat,” said the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry DKMP General Directorate on social media.
