Türkiyr has signed its first military ship export agreement with a European Union and NATO member state. At a ceremony in Lisbon, Haluk Görgün, President of Defense Industries, oversaw the agreement for two Fleet Replenishment and Logistics Support Ships to be built by STM for the Portuguese Navy.
Görgün highlighted the significance of the deal, emphasizing the growing trust in Türkiye’s defense industry and the importance of fostering defense cooperation with NATO allies. He expressed hope that the partnership would enhance bilateral ties and contribute to long-term collaboration between Türkiye and Portugal.
