Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that Türkiye, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon will establish a joint security and intelligence mechanism to combat ISIS. Speaking at a press conference following a five-party security summit in Jordan, Fidan emphasized the need for regional cooperation to address terrorism, drug trafficking, and arms smuggling.
Fidan stressed that local solutions are necessary to prevent external interventions that often worsen regional crises. The initiative aims to enhance coordination among neighboring countries to tackle persistent security threats.
