At the Democratic Party National Convention in Chicago, Arizona Democratic Party Delegate Ajlan Kurdoğlu expressed optimism about the future of US-Türkiye relations, stating, “As long as Donald Trump is not elected, I think relations will get much better, trade will increase, and relations will progress positively.”
Kurdoğlu, a Biden delegate, emphasized his support for Kamala Harris, saying, “We nominated Kamala Harris, and we are hopeful she will be elected.” He also addressed the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, noting that it is a deeply concerning issue, particularly among Muslim communities in Arizona. He expressed hope for a ceasefire, which he believes could positively influence Harris’ chances in the election if achieved before voting.
