After necessary preparations, the Turkish tourist region of Cappadocia, included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, started to host visitors for the New Year celebrations. Occupancy rates in the Cappadocia region, which has a bed capacity of more than 30,000 in 600 establishments, exceeded 80 percent, according to Mehmet Dinler, a tourism professional.
Accommodation fees in Cappadocia start at ₺3,000 ($100) and can go up to ₺15,000 ($500).
