Türkiye’s Fidan Joins NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Brussels

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan attended the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, where he briefly met NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and fellow ministers before the session began.

Rutte opened the meeting by highlighting progress on strengthening collective defense ahead of the 2026 Ankara summit. He warned that Russia is “testing NATO’s deterrence” through airspace violations, sabotage, and cooperation with China, North Korea, and Iran.

Rutte urged allies to boost defense capabilities and industrial investment, stressing that Ukraine “needs our support more than ever” as winter sets in. The meetings will continue with a family photo and a NATO-Ukraine Council working dinner.
