Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, visiting Hungary at the invitation of his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto, started his diplomatic trip by paying respects at the Galician Front Turkish Cemetery in Budapest. He expressed his profound respect for the Turkish soldiers who fought in one of World War I’s most challenging fronts and remembered the nation’s heroes, including the founder of the Turkish Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, on the Republic’s 100th anniversary. During his visit, Fidan is expected to engage in discussions on bilateral relations, Türkiye-EU relations, and current global and regional developments.
