The first ‘Happy Butterflies Festival’ will take place on April 19 in Mut, Mersin, a region known for its rich butterfly diversity, ranking first in Türkiye and fourth in Europe.
The festival, organized by local authorities and Mersin University, aims to promote the district’s biodiversity. Activities will include a butterfly exhibition, concerts, local cuisine, face painting, a photography display, and a tour of Yer Köprü Waterfall. Officials highlighted Mut’s significance as a key butterfly migration route due to its diverse flora and fauna.
