Türkiye’s Salt Lake Becomes Healing Tourism Hub

Salt Lake, Türkiye’s second-largest lake and a vital source for 60% of the nation’s salt, is gaining popularity as a healing tourism destination. Spanning the borders of Aksaray, Ankara, and Konya provinces, the lake harvests 2 million tons of salt annually. As the weather warms, both local and international tourists flock to Salt Lake for its therapeutic benefits. Visitors often walk barefoot in the saltwater, believed to cure ailments like foot fungus, foot odor, and eczema. The lake, renowned for its unique scenery, attracts hundreds of tourists daily. Families enjoy the stunning views, take photos, and children play in the saltwater, making Salt Lake a vibrant hub of activity.
