Tortum Lake, which was formed in the Uzundere district of Türkiye’s Erzurum as a result of a landslide in the 1800s, has seen the lowest water level of the last ten years. A twenty-meter decrease was noticeable along the lakeside.
Tortum Stream, which flows into the lake, would feed it every year after snow is melted. However, there has been a noticeable decrease in the water level of the stream due to less snowfall.
