Twelve people who were trapped in a collapsed coal mine 40 kilometers from Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, on Thursday evening due to a gas explosion were reportedly found dead.
Rescue teams reported that all the bodies in the mine had been removed and that the rescue operation was complete.
Mine Chief Abdul Ghani Baloch stated in a press conference today that the rescue efforts lasted 60 hours and that the main entrance to the mine was closed after the explosion.
