A passenger bus veered off the road and overturned on the Sivas-Erzincan highway in the İmranlı district of Sivas last night at around 22:30, because of another bus coming from the opposite direction on the same line. Twenty-four passengers were injured in the accident.

“The road was open to traffic in one direction due to roadworks. A bus was coming from the opposite side of me on the sharp bend, trying to overtake. We came head-on and I steered the vehicle into a ditch to save our lives. I had to do it to save the passengers and myself. Thank God, no one died. The bus that caused the accident continued without stopping,” said the driver.
