The 7-month-old twin pandas Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei, who were born on June 23 last year at the Ueno Zoological Gardens in Japan’s capital city of Tokyo, appeared before animal lovers for the first time today. Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei had become the center of attention of the media and the public after they born last year. It’s been announced that a limited number of visitors who participated in the drawing that was held before to see the twins living with their mother Shin Shin had the chance to see the 14.5 kg weighting panda up close. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, public visits will only last 3 days and a limited number of visitors allowed, while the next visit date hasn’t been decided yet.
