A series of overnight drone strikes across Baghdad, Iraq, has left two civilians dead and five security personnel injured. The civilian casualties occurred when an explosives-laden drone crashed into a residential home in the western Amiriya neighborhood, while a separate attack on a military camp in the northern Taji region wounded the security members. Additional incidents were reported throughout the Iraqi capital, including civilian vehicle fires, a rooftop blaze, and unexploded ordnance landing near university dormitories. Civil defense teams quickly responded to secure the hazardous materials and extinguish the fires without further casualties. Iraqi security forces have since launched a comprehensive investigation into the coordinated attacks and are urging the public to avoid the impacted areas.
