Seven prisons across France were targeted in overnight attacks, with vehicles set ablaze and a prison gate hit by automatic gunfire. Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin said the attacks aimed to intimidate inmates and disrupt the government’s anti-drug efforts. No group has claimed responsibility.
