Two Pilots Killed in Training Plane Crash at Bursa Airport

A training plane crash at Yenişehir Airport in Bursa, Türkiye, claimed the lives of two pilots. The accident occurred around 08:10 AM during a “Touch and Go” training exercise, as confirmed by the Bursa Governor’s Office. The victims were identified as experienced pilot Ünal Aster (61) and instructor pilot candidate Emir Gülal Nalcı (42).

The single-engine plane, belonging to a private flight school, crashed on the airport’s apron, leading to the immediate dispatch of fire, ambulance, and rescue teams. The wreckage will be cleared after the expert report and final tower interviews.

“Touch and Go” training, a maneuver involving repeated landings and takeoffs, was being conducted at the time of the crash.
