The death toll from Typhoon Bualoi has climbed to 51, with 164 injured and 14 still missing, according to the disaster management agency.
Flooding and strong winds caused an estimated $603 million in damage, destroying roads, schools, and power grids. More than 230,000 homes were damaged or submerged, and nearly 89,000 hectares of farmland were ruined, leaving tens of thousands without electricity.
