Typhoon Kajiki Kills Three in Vietnam

Typhoon Kajiki made landfall on Vietnam’s north-central coast, killing three people and injuring 10. The storm damaged around 7,000 homes, flooded 28,800 hectares of rice fields, uprooted 18,000 trees, and caused widespread power outages after toppling 331 power poles across multiple provinces.

Heavy rains also flooded streets in Hanoi, disrupting traffic. The typhoon weakened to a tropical storm as it moved toward Laos, but authorities warned of continued rain, flash floods, and landslides in northern Vietnam.
