Japan is facing severe adverse weather conditions due to Typhoon Lan while Typhoon Khanun has just begun losing its power. Reaching the Kii Peninsula, the typhoon is triggering severe storms and rains in many regions, especially in Hyogo, Osaka, Kyoto and Wakayama states. A total of 20 injuries have been reported across the country so far. Air and rail transportation services are adversely affected as well.
Two people died and at least 60 others were injured by Typhoon Khanun in the last two weeks.
