Typhoon Mindulle reached Japanese Islands of Izu and Ogasawara, causing strong winds and waves. Russian Presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev announced that President Vladimir Putin signed the draft strategy for the development of the Russian Navy through 2050.
Patrushev stated that the final draft was signed on May 30, following its preparation by the Ministry of Defense and revision by the Maritime Board. The strategy incorporates proposals from various federal institutions and organizations. The initiative was launched after a Kremlin meeting in July 2024.
