At the UK-EU Summit in London, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and EU leaders Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa agreed on a new defense and security partnership.
The UK will gain access to the EU’s €150 billion defense credit program. The deal also includes agreements on energy cooperation, youth mobility, and a 12-year extension allowing EU vessels to fish in UK waters. Some checks on animal and plant products will be eased.
