The Ukrainian army hit the Syzran and Novokubyshev refineries of the state-owned oil and gas company Rosneft in Russia’s Samara region with UAVs. Samara regional governor Dmitry Azarov stated that a fire broke out at the Syzran refinery and that the attack on the Novokubyshev refinery was prevented. Both factories were evacuated, and there were no casualties, said Azarov.
Ukraine has been heavily targeting Russia’s oil infrastructure in recent weeks.
