As Russia’s attacks on Ukraine continue, the sports hall of the Lviv Veterinary Faculty is home to hundreds of war victims. Civilians fleeing the conflict zones of Ukraine took shelter in the hall. Some civilians stated that they would stay here until the conflicts in their cities ended, while others said that they would go to the nearest border gate to exit the country a few days later.
Azamat Aiazbaiev, who has been staying at the sports hall for days, said, “I was born in Kyiv. I came from Kyiv to Lviv. Now we are here with my family. We help each other with other people. I don’t know when I will go home. But right now I’m working here and helping people. I hope to be back home in 2-3 weeks. I don’t have a plan right now, because I can’t make any plans for the future in such situation. I’m not planning to go anywhere. I will not go to another country, because this is my home. My current plan is to stay in Lviv until the war is over,” he said.
