US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met at Diriyah Palace in Riyadh to discuss efforts to end the war in Ukraine. The high-level meeting was attended by officials from the US, Russia, and Saudi Arabia, including Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and Russian Vice President Yuri Ushakov.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the discussions focused on US-Russia relations, potential peace negotiations for Ukraine, and preparations for an upcoming summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
