Deobra Delone Redden, 30, faced the Clark County District Court again after his assault on Judge Mary Kay Holthus in Las Vegas, Nevada, during a previous hearing. Redden, now brought in with heightened security measures, received a 4-year prison sentence for the assault on the judge. Despite the disruption caused by his attack during the prior session, Judge Holthus reaffirmed that the sentence remained unaltered from before the incident.

Holthus emphasized that Redden’s sentencing pertained solely to his earlier admitted crime, clarifying that the separate charge for attacking her would be handled by another judge. Additionally, Redden had previously received a 4-year sentence for assaulting an individual with a baseball bat last year. His arraignment for the assault on the judge is scheduled for Tuesday.
