US Authorities alarmed after a chicken enters the Pentagon’s security checkpoint

US authorities go into action after a chicken entered the security checkpoint at the US Department of Defense (DoD) building, also known as Pentagon. Officers from Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) were called to the area after the chicken was seen wandering around at the building’s security checkpoint. “Very early this morning, this chicken was caught sneaking around the security area at the Pentagon (we’re not kidding) and our officers were called to come pick her up. Sgt Ballena brought her safely to the shelter where she’ll stay until we find a new home for her,” AWLA said in their official social media account after picked up the chicken.

AWLA spokesperson Chelsea Jones made a statement about the situation but didn’t share the information of where the chicken was seen. “We are not allowed to disclose exactly where she was found. We can only say it was at a security checkpoint,” Jones said.

Meanwhile, the photo of the chicken named “Henny Penny”, quickly spread on the social media platforms. Also, Henny Penny hit the headlines in the national agenda in a short time, and left his mark on the host Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show”. During her show, Fallon also performed a song about the chicken Henny Penny.

On the other hand, where the chicken came from and how it got into the Pentagon still unknown.
