US Claims Responsibility for Killing of Hashd al-Shaabi Leader

The Pentagon claimed responsibility for the air attack carried out on a vehicle belonging to the Al-Nujaba Movement in the Iraqi capital yesterday. Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said that Abu Taqwa, the movement leader who was killed in the attack, was considered a threat. Ryder noted that the attack was carried out in self-defense and no civilians, infrastructure, or facilities were harmed.
