US Expands Travel Ban to Six New Countries Including Syria and Palestine

US President Donald Trump has expanded the United States’ travel ban to include six additional countries: Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, and individuals using travel documents issued by Palestine. The White House said the decision was taken over national security and screening concerns. The administration also confirmed that full travel bans remain in place for 12 countries, including Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Somalia.
