US Grammy Awards Spotlight Music and Politics

The 68th Grammy Awards were held in Los Angeles, United States, at the Crypto.com Arena, with comedian Trevor Noah hosting the ceremony. Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny won Album of the Year for Deb Tirar Ms Fotos, becoming the first artist to win the top prize with an all-Spanish album, while Billie Eilish took Song of the Year for Wildflower. Awards across genres also went to artists including Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, The Cure, and Turnstile.

The ceremony also carried a political tone, with several winners criticizing US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during their speeches. Bad Bunny drew applause with an “ICE OUT” message, while Olivia Dean and Billie Eilish called for solidarity, protest, and support for immigrant communities.
